Arctic Autumn

Advancing all too quickly,
Grasses hunker down.
Wave one last goodbye
Antique Gold
Crimson
Burnt Orange
Beneath a pewter sky.
Blustery undulation,
Mother Ocean reveals her ice.
She alters the line of collision
Between land and sea.
Mud-streaked windowpanes,
Waiting for the snow.
