The river gets strange around here. It is big. The people through this area were wonderful. The river was impossible to read. There were sand bars that were in places that they had no business being . The terrain seemed to change around Mountain Village. It changed enough to make you think you were getting close to something. The hills were rounded and seemed to have no base or foothills. They were like goose bumps rising up from the river.
